I'm cleaning up 44CON's subscriber data. I do this every year for a bunch of reasons:
- If you're not interested in hearing from us we shouldn't contact you
- I hate getting marketing emails when I never opted in
We recently connected our Shopify shop to Mailchimp. This imports opted-in customer email data into the Mailchimp contact database. We kept these systems separate in the past because we're paranoid when it comes to data sharing.
Some Mailchimp contacts' opt-in status might've only recently migrated from Shopify. It's hard to tell 100% because of available Shopify timestamps and email deliverability. If this is the first time you've had a 44CON email in ages, this may have happened to you. In this case I'd like to apologize up front. For everyone else, I want us to be transparent about how we handle your data, and being open and honest is part of it.

I understand that you might not remember signing up, especially if it was a while ago. I don't want to send you anything you don't want to read.
