                        In this email: We launch our assistance programme, providing free tickets with accommodation for those that need it, and a word on hotel safety.

9 Free 44CON Tickets including Accommodation!

Thanks to our sponsors Microsoft and Google, we have 9 tickets including accommodation to give away to underprivileged people who would benefit most from attending 44CON. Anyone can apply, providing they meet at least one of three criteria, and priority will be given to those meeting a set of priorities.

Details on our assistance programme, including eligibility and how to apply can be found here . It's our first year and we expect to make mistakes, but please do use the feedback forms at our event to tell us how we're doing.

A Word on Hotel Safety at 44CON

In light of events at Defcon and Blackhat, we got in touch with the ILEC to see under what circumstances someone may enter your room. You can find our blog post on hotel safety here . We've also set up an emergency response number to call in case you need urgent help.

Last Call For Training!

Some of our training courses are running low on space. If you want to attend, you'll need to move quickly. We're confirming course numbers around the 24th of August, after which, some courses will be taken off the shop .
