[44CON Announce] The 44CON 2024 CFP is open
The 44CON 2024 CFP is open
The Call for Papers (CFP) for 44CON 2024 is now open. It will close at midnight on Friday 31st May 2024.
44CON 2024 will be held on 18th, 19th, 20th September 2024 in London, at the same venue as 44CON 2023.
44CON 2024 will consist of one main presentation track and one workshop track. Off the record track will run under the Chatham House Rule and will be held on the Thursday night, we’re not going to tell you any more now but you can submit suitable talks for it.
Presentations are 45 minutes long with 5 minutes for Q&A. Workshops are of flexible length with a minimum of 60 minutes including setup/breakdown time.
- A presentation on the main track is in front of a large seated audience.
- A presentation on the Mixed/Workshop track can be more interactive/informal and is with a smaller audience.
- A workshop is like a mini training course – e.g. take a single executable and show a walkthrough on IDA Pro. Follow through a scenario based workshop e.g an incident response from a management and technical view with the audience etc.
Presentations should be original and of the highest quality in areas such as offensive security, defensive technologies, bug finding and fixing, incident handling, forensics, anti-forensic, LLM and generative AI attacks and techniques, virtualisation, container and cloud computing security, cryptography, cryptocurrencies, cryptozoology, hardware attacks and defence tools, application and mobile security, networking, communications, critical national infrastructure, cyberspace, policing, law, interception, and human rights.
Submissions for talks and workshops can be made through the CFP website now. If you have submitted a talk in the past year, your login still works. If you have presented the same talk elsewhere before 44CON 2024, you must inform the organisers of any changes you intend to make for 44CON 2024. Priority is generally given to new presentations over those presented elsewhere.
Speakers at 44CON 2024 will receive benefits such as paid travel, accommodation, meals, exclusive schwag, press access, and support from the speaker ops team.
Accepted primary presentation speakers get event access, 2 nights of accommodation (3 if presenting a workshop as well), and flight/train coverage if outside Fulham, Hammersmith, or Central London.
Accepted primary workshop speakers get event access, 2 nights of accommodation, but no travel coverage.
Accepted secondary presentation speakers and workshop facilitators without an accompanying presentation receive event access but no accommodation or travel coverage.
You can find more information on our website.

Talks are delivered in English only.
Partners are welcome to attend, and the organisers can help arrange tourist activities during their stay in London.

Gaming the CFP system
- The panel like receiving submissions that comprise a talk & workshop.
- The panel prioritise ‘new’ talks over repeated talks.
- Where a talk is not new, explaining the substantial differences between the older talk and the proposed talk will help.
- You can present a talk of failure, not everything results in success. But be clear on your thinking processes and the ‘why’.
- We prioritise talks that have great techniques and explanation of ‘why’.
- It’s a single track conference. We don’t have unlimited speaking slots.
