Exhibitors, What the HEC and Training Tickets Close on Friday!
As we get closer to the main event we're going to increase the volume of mails to a more regular basis. If it gets too much, please let us know. Also, there was a typo in the last letter - the MWR Labs CTF is back, not CFP. Thanks for spotting it!
Exhibitors, Exhibiting (Wait, did someone say beer buckets?)
Last year we had sponsors in a sponsor area. This year we have exhibitors too, and look at what we've got! Big thanks to Tiger Scheme, NCC Group, CheckSec, Raytheon, Mandalorian and the other exhibitors we're going to add over the next few days. When you're at 44Con don't forget to have a chat and a beer with these guys, yes - the beer buckets are back!
HDMI, Technology convergance and a tidy lounge
NCC Group's Research Director Andy Davis is speaking at 44Con on HDMI Ethernet Channel (HEC) in his talk, What the HEC. Andy very kindly wrote a guest blog post for us summarising the trend towards connecting home entertainment devices to the Internet using magical complex new protocols. If you think HDMI doesn't affect you at work, have a look around your workplace and see how many HDMI ports you see. As Andy says, "It’s only a matter of time before HEC gets incorporated into our operating systems and when that happens, if users and IT managers are not aware of its capabilities it could have a serious impact upon corporate security, all so we can keep the lounge tidy."
Last Chance For Training!
That's right. The 24th is your last chance to book training, so get moving! You can see our courses here. If you know which course you want to attend, but can't book in time please let us know now.
Kind Regards,
Adrian and Steve
