[44Con-announce] 44Con 2012 February Newsletter
24 hour list EXCLUSIVE - Early Bird Ticket Sales, Go! Go! Go!
By the time you read this, the early bird tickets will be on-sale on our micro-site.There are 80 tickets of each type available (fast track day only, two day technical conference and full three day ticket).
We've chosen not to do the VIP/non-VIP thing this year, both Adrian and I (Steve) thought that we couldn't offer you guys enough without a big increase in cost so we thought we'd focus on making it better for everyone.
As you subscribed to the list, you now have a 24 hour lead on the rest of the world. We'll announce early bird sales on tuesday, and with 95% of 2011 survey responders saying that they'll attend this year you'll need to be quick!
Note we do ask you for some information - this year there will be 44Con shwag. We're asking for sizing to get the range of sizes right for items we're planning as well as asking if certain items would be attractive to you.
If you're looking to buy more than 10 tickets, please email us.
Call for Papers Open - Fast Track Day & Technical days.
Our Internet pixies are putting the final touches on our CFP site. Keep an eye out, it should open any day now. Unlike last year, we have extra space for workshops, two technical tracks for two days and an infosec track on the fast track day. As well as bringing you the best speakers from around the world we're also looking for homegrown talent. Priorities are given to new material. Last year we were covered in the Times, CNN, SC Magazine as well as many other places, so get your submissions ready!
Announcing 44Café
Every year infosec folk descend on London for DC4420, BSides London and Infosec Europe. We thought we'd give something back for all those who attended last year and are thinking of attending this year. We didn't want to run a full conference, but we've hired out a 50s Café club a stone's throw from Earls Court and on April 24th are bringing you 44Café! We're putting on a few talks, plenty of free food and if you ask our sponsors nicely they might get you a drink too. It's the natural place to take a break from the exhibition, grab a bite to eat and network without the vendor lock-in. Even better still, DC4420 will take place on the evening of the 24th at 44Café! More details will follow in next month's newsletter.
The Website... IT LIVES!!! (almost)
We've been working really hard on getting the website ready, it'll come online on tuesday. As usual the address is http://www.44con.com/.We'll post news as it happens there, but this mailing list will remain the first place for all the big news.
Ticket Sales
Our Early Bird tickets will go on sale from February the 6th 2012. Early bird tickets close after March 31st, but once they're gone, they're gone! We're limiting sales to 5 tickets at a time to give people a chance. If you want to buy more than 5 tickets, please get in touch.
We can't wait, and we're sure you can't either! We'll send you more info as it comes out. As always, the mailing list will come first, so don't forget to tell your friends.
Kind Regards,
Adrian and Steve
