44CON 2024 July update
Welcome to the July update of 44CON 2024
We’ve got news on the talks, workshops and Hacker Jeopardy — 44CON edition.
CFP review board flooded
The CFP closed on 31st May and with 185 submissions the CFP review board have been busy. It’s apparent some great names in our industry have been busy preparing very special things for this 44CON!
We’ve done the final selections and the speakers will be contacted in the next few days. There’s a lot of comms before it will all become certain, but we hope to announce a few of the talks next week.
In the meantime we want to tell you about a multi day competition based on Hacker Jeopardy.
Hacker Jeopardy
Hacker Jeopardy will be teams of three players - you’ll need to 1) pre-register 2) have 44CON tickets to do this, or be a sponsor or a speaker.
- Initial rounds will be Wednesday 18th September, in the evening. Each round is three teams of three competing to produce one winner to go through to the next round.
- The plan is for the Quarter and Semi finals to be held Thursday night.
- The Final will be straight after lunch on Friday 20th September on track 1.
It’s being MC’d and run by G.Mark Hardy who has done this for years at Defcon, but this will be different and have a 44CON twist.
Prizes! We’re asking for sponsors for Hacker Jeopardy, it’s going to be hard and a worthy challenge to win it! Your logo will be displayed on the score screen during the event and you will have the opportunity to present the prizes to the winners.

We’ve got a ‘Future of Computing’ mega village forming that promises to have bleeding edge projects – we’ll tell you more about that later!
